Responsibilities:
Assist in the Planning, developing, organizing, and implementation of all residence activitiesDevelop suggestions and ideas for improving and expanding the Activities ProgramMaintains a professional, warm and caring relationship with residents and familiesAssist in arranging transportation and escorts for residents to and from outside and community activitiesAssist with maintaining and expanding Volunteer ProgramsAssist residents with maintaining and operating the residence storeAssist with maintaining adequate supplies per department budgetAssist residents to and from activitiesAssist with monthly newsletter and/or weekly calendarAttend required on-going in-service training sessions and orientationDriving residents in van as neededPerform dual tasks and work independentlyQualifications Job
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ability to assist in the development and implementation of activities requiredThe ability to create interest in the activities and motivate residents to participate daily is requiredCreativity and motivational skills necessaryThe ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing is essentialRequires frequent bending, stretching, stooping and liftingMust be able to perform tasks and work independentlyDemonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet, database managers presentation software and Calendar/Newsletter software Education:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred
Experience:
Previous experience in the recreational therapy or related field preferredGerontology experience preferredCertificates/Licenses:
A valid drivers license in the state of work is required with no more than two moving violations in a three year period as determined by our insurance brokerPhysical Demands:
Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipmentVisual and auditory acuityMust be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
