Fazenda Coffee Roasters is hiring a full time Roastery Assistant at our roasting facility in Dedham, just a few steps over from the Boston city line.
The Roastery Assistant is a jack-of-all-trades position that floats between production, shipping, and other areas to help expedite projects and provide gap coverage.
Experience isn't necessary, but we value work ethic and a customer service mindset.

Please note that while our location is close to the city, our facility is not easily accessible by public transit.
Responsibilities Assist in picking & packing of coffee and tea orders; Operate equipment to label, weigh, and package whole bean and ground coffee; Assist in blending, weighing, and packaging tea; Receive and put away shipments; Maintain an organized and clean production space; Occasionally drive a Ford Transit van for transferring equipment between facilities & deliveries; Help in conducting daily inventory reporting and a weekly inventory count; Find and suggest ways that our operation can continue to be more efficient; Perform other tasks and duties to assist the roast master and production manager.

You have a strong attention to detail.
You enjoy collaborating and work well with others.
You're internally driven to stay focused and motivated, and have excellent multi-tasking abilities You're comfortable lifting boxes up to 45 pounds at a time, sometimes frequently and throughout the day.
You're fine with bending, reaching, carrying, standing, and walking throughout the day.
Prior experience in the coffee industry (barista experience is a plus!), or in other specialty food or beverage manufacturing or retail.
