A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is requiredIn addition, a minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience is required; or a Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceResponsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Business PartnerThis growth-minded position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services through extensive proposal development and program management leadership to existing and new-start programsGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missionsDuties and Tasks:
o Implements and administers human resources programs, policies, and practices as a standalone resource or in a shared-services HR modelo Responds to employee and manager inquiries, questions, and complaints; provides information, guidance and direction on HR programs, processes, and procedures including harassment allegations and civil rights complaintso Monitors issues and complaints; provides feedback on HR policy and programs to area specialists and managemento Performs Human Resources related duties for a variety of functional areas including workforce planning, talent management and development (hi-potential and key successors) / training, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement (culture, recognition, and retention), compensation and benefits, HR policies and procedures, relocation, labor relations, equal employment, and affirmative actiono Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships and increase employee engagement and retentiono Assists in the administration, development and implementation of department programs, policies, and practiceso Partners with management and employees to communicate, interpret and advise various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulationso Conducts research and evaluates data in support of assigned goals and makes recommendation for corrective action and continuous improvemento Conducts employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewso Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminarso Provides support and guidance as a trusted advisor and resource to business leaders and employees, executing Human Resources programs, policies and procedures, processes, communication, and initiativeso May be involved in Labor Relations and Negotiationso Travel may be requiredo This position will be onsite in Dedham, MA for a minimum 2 days/week.
o May require a security clearance Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o A seasoned, experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative wayso Works on problems of broad scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factorso Highly proficient ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues; involving conflict and mediationo Proficient analytical and problem-solving skillso Demonstrates proficient judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionso Significantly networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertiseo Proficient in all Microsoft Office programso Advanced communication skills, both verbal and writteno Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, moderate instructions on new assignmentso Advanced organization and interpersonal skillso Shows strong initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgement, and professionally executes projects with little directiono Proficient investigative and mediation skillso Strong ability to engage, inspire, and influence people at all levelso Professional HR Certification preferred #LI-Hybrid Target salary range:
USD $105,235.
