To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with fellow servers, bartenders and bussers, cooks and other staff.
Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.
Bar
Responsibilities:
Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Collect payments from tables.
Busser/ Host
Responsibilities:
Bussers and Hosts help out the wait staff and bartenders at restaurants and other places that serve food.
Hosts meet and greet guests and run wait times along with helping with busser duties.
Bussers clean tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, make sure diners' water glasses are full, and reset tables for the next service.
Bussers might help waiters and waitresses bring food out to a table, restock utensils, napkins and other dining room needs.

Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately Identify belligerent customers, and work with management when needed to maintain a safe environment Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed Other duties as requested
