We are seeking a highly motivated Sales/Design Associate who possess outstanding verbal and written communication and customer service skills, as well as strong interior design acumen. Sales Design Associates are primarily responsible for sales. This includes selling in the Boston Interiors style (as taught through Boston Interiors training program), having thorough product knowledge, strong interior design skills and exceptional customer service ability. Associates must possess the proper selling attitude as characterized by:
Enthusiasm
Flexibility
Self-motivation
Positive and engaging personality
Professional appearance and presence with clients
Teamwork and open and honest communication with manager, clients and fellow staff members
Qualifications and Skills:
College Degree (2-year minimum) in Business Management, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Fashion, Architecture, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, Liberal Arts
Retail sales background, preferably with furniture or related industries
Previous experience in Sales, Customer Service, or other related fields
Excellent interpersonal customer service and communication skills
Basic design skills such as creating floor plans and color consultation
Ability to work closely with peers in a professional environment
Ability to multitask, stay organized and focused
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Excellent follow-up skills are an absolute must
Strong PC skills, specifically with Microsoft Windows Operating System, Office Applications and Outlook Email
Proficient in basic math; ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages and ratios
